SleepyCat is a leading Indian D2C sleep solutions brand offering a wide range of products, including mattresses, pillows, bedding, and accessories. Moreover, their sleep solutions come with a strong promise: 100-night trial, 10-year warranty, and direct-to-door delivery across India. Their entire model is built on trust, transparency, and a seamless customer experience.

Behind their sleep storefront, there’s a complex, ageing WordPress + WooCommerce system that they have heavily customised. So, as SleepyCat scaled, the customised system started to face troubles like slow performance, maintenance overhead, and constraints in evolving their unique product logic (bundles, add-ons, variant rules).

With their rapid growth, their store first touched, and they crossed all limits of their original WordPress foundation! So, what, once used to work quite simply for a small catalogue, has turned into a maze of custom code and plugins, where each solution itself was adding another layer of complexity.

• Rebuilt complex variant logic: Overcame Shopify's native variant limits by creating a smart SKU-splitting mechanism and a unified front-end interface. Customers could now select material, size, and dimensions seamlessly, without realizing they were interacting with multiple linked products.
• Custom Bundle Builder: Developed custom product templates for bundle selection & have used Shopify Cart Transformations to calculate pricing dynamically. Moreover, we have also leveraged Checkout Extensions so the user can see the bundled pricing at checkout, and not to mention, we have ensured inventory tracking in real-time.
• Zipcode-Based Delivery Checker: Integrated a custom-built delivery checker to display real-time availability and delivery timelines based on the user's pin code, so that the last-minute drop-offs can be reduced as much as possible.
• WhatsApp Automation via Shopify Flow: Streamlined post-purchase communication with automated WhatsApp messages for order confirmations, abandoned carts, and delivery updates to improve engagement and recovery rates.
