Furnified partnered with Dynamic Dreamz to build a robust Shopify Plus ecommerce solution by a Shopify Plus partner agency, with the capability of serving both retail and B2B customers efficiently. We developed two interconnected Shopify Plus storefronts, Verdon Retail and Furnified, leveraging native B2B capabilities alongside custom ERP integration.

Challenges
While building a scalable B2B ecommerce system, there were several technical and operational challenges that, as a Shopify development agency India, we had to overcome. The platform really needed to support multiple companies with different purchasing structures, and that too, while ensuring a seamless experience for both retail and business buyers.
Here, one of the primary challenges was configuring Shopify Plus to handle company-specific product catalogs, pricing models, and payment terms, and that too, without creating unnecessary operational complexity. Because each B2B company requires unique access rules, multiple users, and predefined shipping destinations.
Another major challenge here was about synchronizing data between Shopify & the client’s ERP systems, Exact and Picqer. Products, inventory, orders, and customer information needed to flow seamlessly between platforms while maintaining accuracy and consistency.
Here, managing inventory visibility and delivery timelines is also quite crucial and will require careful planning. Many products were imported from China, which meant fluctuating lead times. The system really needed to dynamically communicate accurate delivery estimates to customers, so any kind of confusion can be avoided, and support inquiries can be kept to a minimum.
And finally, eliminating manual order processing and data entry was critical, because you know, without automation, the growing number of transactions could quickly lead to operational bottlenecks and data inconsistencies.
Solution
To address these challenges, Dynamic Dreamz implemented a comprehensive Shopify Plus B2B solution supported by a custom-built middleware system that connects Shopify with the client’s ERP platforms.
The project leveraged Shopify Plus’ native B2B capabilities to configure multiple product catalogs with company-specific pricing and purchasing terms. Each B2B company was assigned dedicated catalogs and payment conditions, allowing business customers to access the products and pricing relevant to them.
Customer roles and permissions were also structured carefully. Multiple users could be associated with a single company account, with “order-only” roles enabling buyers to place orders while maintaining centralized company management.
To streamline logistics, a multi-location setup was implemented, allowing companies to maintain multiple default shipping addresses. These locations automatically appeared during checkout, simplifying the ordering process for B2B customers.
A critical part of the solution was the development of a custom middleware integration connecting Shopify with the Exact and Picqer ERP systems. This middleware automated key operational processes, including product synchronization, order creation, customer record management, and inventory updates.
The system also enabled real-time delivery timeline communication. By analyzing ERP stock levels and open purchase orders, the middleware dynamically calculated expected delivery dates and pushed this information to Shopify using metafields. If delays occurred, such as manufacturing or shipping issues from overseas suppliers, the system automatically updated delivery timelines and notified customers.
Together, these systems created a unified commerce environment where Shopify handled the storefront experience while ERP systems managed operational logic in the background.
