Banchharam’s is an iconic and prominent chain of stores of sweets & savoury in Kolkata and Bengaluru, India. They have been into this business since 1976.
Client’s requirements
The client wanted to have a website with modern look with prime objective was to assign customer to the nearest store from their current location. This would facilitate customers ease of shopping either through pickup or delivery.
What we delivered
We implemented this feature using MSI (Multi Source Inventory) of Magento 2. With this, a customer can be located to the nearest Banchharam’s store from his current location. Once the customer checks out, he will be assigned to the nearest store for the quickest delivery of the products. Not only that customer will be assigned to the nearest store based on his choice of pickup or delivery.
Their existing site was falling short to increase cart value. They insisted a site which would be interactive, looks appealing to the eye and very easy to navigate and have a faster checkout process. The client wanted to have featured products and categories to be displayed prominently on home page. Further it was required that their top selling items could be listed on my homepage itself and can be added to the cart directly and checkout can be done then and there only.
Our team went through the existing site and studied the requirements. Based on that Magento platform was recommended for the new site as Magento provides easy navigation and quick checkout. The colour scheme was such selected which would reflect identity of the client and match up to the reputation of client. The no. of menus was kept limited on top of the site so that customers don’t get distracted. Online purchase was made easy by providing ‘Delivery/ Pickup’ option on home page itself. Featured products were displayed on prominently to induce customers for purchase.
